Two lists, depending on who you are. Residents need an Emirates ID and a UAE driving licence. Tourists need a passport with the entry stamp, the UAE visa page, and either a licence from an approved country or an International Driving Permit alongside their home licence.

Everyone needs a payment card in the driver's own name — the security hold is a pre-authorisation on that card, and we do not take a cash deposit.

Questions people ask us

What documents do I need to rent a car in Dubai as a tourist?+
A passport with your entry stamp, your UAE visa page, and either a driving licence from an approved country or an International Driving Permit alongside your home licence. Plus a payment card in your own name for the security hold.
Do I need an International Driving Permit in Dubai?+
It depends on your licence. Licences from a list of approved countries are accepted directly; everyone else needs an IDP carried together with their home licence. Send us a photo of your licence on WhatsApp and we will confirm before you book.
What do UAE residents need?+
An Emirates ID and a valid UAE driving licence, both in date at pickup.
Do I need to bring a printed visa page?+
A clear photo or PDF on your phone is fine. We need to see the entry stamp and the visa, not paper copies.
Can someone else pay for my rental?+
The security pre-authorisation must be on a card in the driver's own name. If someone else is paying, tell us on WhatsApp before delivery and we will arrange it properly.
How old do I have to be?+
22 for economy and mid-range cars, 25 for luxury and sports cars, with a licence held for at least 1 year.
