Car Rental Insurance & Driving Rules in Dubai

Comprehensive insurance is included with every rental. The excess is AED 1,500 on standard cars and AED 10,000 on exotics — and optional CDW at 25% of the rental removes it. Here is exactly what is covered and what is not.

See all prices

Every Pindi Boys rental includes comprehensive insurance — it is in the rate, not an add-on you buy at the counter. What people actually need to know is the excess: the amount you owe if you are at fault, and how to remove it.

Without CDW the standard excess is AED 1,500 (AED 10,000 on exotic cars). Optional CDW at 25% of the rental removes that liability entirely.

Questions people ask us

Is insurance included in car rental in Dubai?+
Yes — comprehensive insurance is included with every Pindi Boys rental at no extra cost, including third-party liability up to AED 3.5 million.
What is the insurance excess on a rental car in Dubai?+
AED 1,500 on standard cars and AED 10,000 on exotic cars. That is the amount you pay if you are at fault. Optional CDW at 25% of the rental removes it.
What happens if I have an accident?+
Call us on WhatsApp immediately. A police report is mandatory in the UAE for any accident or damage — we arrange the report, recovery and a replacement car if needed. With a valid police report, insurance covers the damage subject to the excess.
What driving is not allowed under the rental?+
Off-road and desert driving, drifting and racing are strictly prohibited and void cover. Only drivers named on the agreement may drive the car.
Are traffic fines and Salik covered by the insurance?+
No — they are separate and billed to you at cost. Salik carries AED 1 admin per crossing and a traffic fine carries AED 50 admin per fine. Nothing is marked up.
Do I need extra insurance if my licence is new?+
If your licence is under 6 months old, full insurance/CDW is compulsory and a 25% surcharge applies.
