Airport Taxi or Fixed-Fare Transfer?

A Sharjah Airport taxi is metered. What you pay depends on the traffic on the Dubai–Sharjah corridor that day, and at peak hours that is the busiest road in the country — which is exactly when you cannot agree a price in advance. Our fare is agreed before pickup and does not move, so a slow run costs us and not you. The driver meets you inside arrivals with your name, rather than you joining the rank outside.

Send the flight number on WhatsApp and we track the landing. A delayed flight costs nothing in waiting time.

Sharjah Airport Car Rental — the Other Option

If you want the car for the whole trip rather than one journey, we deliver it free to SHJ arrivals. Rates start at AED 100 a day, AED 650 a week and AED 1,700 a month plus 5% VAT, with comprehensive insurance, registration, maintenance and 250 km a day included. There is no airport surcharge, no desk and no queue — the paperwork is signed digitally before you land.

Economy from AED 100 (cheap car rental), seven-seaters from AED 150 (7 seater rental), SUVs from AED 120 (SUV rental) and the luxury fleet from AED 650 (luxury car rental).

What You Pay Beyond the Fare

  • VAT — 5%, added by law.
  • Deposit — none in cash on a transfer. On a self-drive rental, a refundable card hold released within 21 days.
  • Salik, fuel and parking — included in the transfer fare. On a self-drive rental, Salik is passed on at cost: AED 5.25 off-peak and AED 7.35 at peak per crossing.
  • Fines — on a self-drive rental only, at cost plus AED 50 admin plus 5% VAT (AED 52.50).
  • Child seats — AED 15 a day.

The Rest of the Emirates

Fixed intercity fares also run to Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Al Ain and Fujairah. For a driver by the month rather than by the trip, see hire a driver in Dubai monthly.

FAQ

Sharjah Airport — Questions

How much is a taxi or transfer from Sharjah Airport to Dubai?+
Our fixed fare is AED 450 one-way in either direction, agreed before pickup and all-inclusive of Salik, fuel and parking. A metered taxi is not a fixed price — the fare moves with traffic and the route, and there is no fixed figure to agree in advance. The return trip is AED 900.
Do you meet me inside Sharjah Airport arrivals?+
Yes. Send your flight number on WhatsApp and we track the landing, so a delayed flight costs nothing in waiting time. After the included waiting, waiting time is AED 50 an hour.
Can I rent a car at Sharjah Airport instead of taking a transfer?+
Yes. We deliver the car to SHJ arrivals free, from AED 100 a day, AED 650 a week and AED 1,700 a month plus 5% VAT, with comprehensive insurance and 250 km a day included. There is no airport surcharge and no desk to queue at.
How long does Sharjah Airport to Dubai take?+
Usually 30 to 60 minutes depending on the time of day and where in Dubai you are going. The Sharjah–Dubai corridor is the busiest in the country at peak hours, which is the main reason a fixed fare is worth having — traffic is our problem, not yours.
What do I need to rent a car at Sharjah Airport?+
Your passport with the entry stamp or visa, your original driving licence, and a credit card in the driver's own name for the refundable hold. Visitors from the GCC and the countries on the UAE's published list drive on their own licence; everyone else also needs an International Driving Permit.
Is there a deposit?+
No cash deposit. A refundable pre-authorisation is held on a credit card in the driver's name and released within 21 days of return, provided there are no fines or damage.
Do you cover Sharjah city as well as the airport?+
Yes — see chauffeur service Sharjah for the city, and Dubai to Sharjah for the route in the other direction. The fare is the same AED 450 either way.

Full chauffeur rates, the group fleet and every inter-emirate fare are on the Pindi Boys Chauffeur hub.
