The east coast is a different UAE: mountains, then the Gulf of Oman. From Dubai the road runs out past Sharjah and through the Hajar on the E84 or the E88/E89, and the destinations are the Al Aqah beach resorts — Le Méridien Al Aqah, the Fujairah Rotana, the InterContinental and Fairmont Fujairah — Snoopy Island and the dive centres at Dibba and Al Aqah, Khor Fakkan beach and the amphitheatre, Fujairah city and the old fort, Al Bidyah Mosque, and, for business, Fujairah Port, the oil terminal and the Fujairah Free Zone.
Weekend resort transfers are the bulk of it: a family out on Thursday evening or Friday morning, back Saturday afternoon, with the luggage, the cool box and the snorkels in a seven-seater and nobody driving the mountain road after a day on the beach.
How Fujairah is priced
Fujairah is further than any of our published intercity routes — Al Ain at AED 800 is the longest — so we do not print a Fujairah number here. The transfer is quoted for your exact pickup and drop-off and confirmed in writing on WhatsApp before pickup: one figure, all-inclusive of Salik, fuel and parking on the route, plus 5% VAT. A resort weekend is two one-ways on different days; a same-day return with waiting is quoted on the same fixed basis.
Because it is a long drive with luggage, the usual Fujairah car is a seven-seat Exeed VX, GMC Yukon or Chevrolet Suburban; a couple is comfortable in a BYD Han or BMW 5 Series. The published day rates below give the scale between cars.
