OverviewIs the Jeep Wrangler the right rental for you?

The Wrangler is the only car in this class that people rent for what it can do rather than what it costs to run. It is a genuine body-on-frame 4x4 with a short wheelbase, high ground clearance and a roof you can take off — which makes it the obvious choice for the dunes at Al Qudra, the wadis around Hatta and the climb up Jebel Jais.

Who it suits. Weekend explorers, groups doing a desert trip, and visitors who want the drive itself to be the memorable part. It is also the most photographed car in our fleet, which is not a small factor for a lot of people booking it.

What it is not. A comfortable motorway cruiser. It is noisy at speed, thirsty, and the ride is firm on Sheikh Zayed Road compared with a road-biased SUV. If most of your driving is city and highway, the Toyota Fortuner or Nissan Patrol will be the better week. Take the Wrangler when you are actually leaving the tarmac.

HelpFrequently Asked Questions

Can I take the Jeep Wrangler off-road?

Yes — the Wrangler is the one car in our fleet built for it. Desert driving is permitted on established routes; tell us your plans when booking so we brief you on tyre pressures and recovery.

Is the roof removable?

Yes, the roof panels come off. We will show you how at handover — please refit them before parking overnight, and never leave the car open in rain or a sandstorm.

Why is the minimum age 25 for this car?

Insurers rate 4x4s with off-road capability differently. The Wrangler carries a higher minimum age than our sedans, which start at 21.

How much fuel does it use?

Considerably more than a crossover — it is a heavy, boxy 4x4. Budget accordingly if you are covering long distances, and consider a road-biased SUV if fuel cost matters more than capability.

Can I drive it to Oman or Jebel Jais?

Jebel Jais is inside the UAE and needs no special arrangement. Oman requires cross-border insurance arranged in advance — give us a few days notice.

Is it good for a family?

It seats five and the boot is modest for the size of the car. For a family with luggage, a 7-seater such as the Fortuner is the more practical booking.
