The daily cap is averaged over the whole rental, not enforced day by day. Take a car for three days and you have 750 km to use however you like — a quiet day in Dubai and a long run to Abu Dhabi and back balance out.
For most renters the cap is irrelevant. Dubai Marina to Deira and back is roughly 50 km. It only starts to matter if you are doing repeated inter-emirate trips, and at that point a monthly contract is both cheaper and uncapped.

When the cap actually bites
- Daily driving inside Dubai — never. Typical city use is 30–60 km a day.
- Dubai → Abu Dhabi return in one day — about 280 km, so one day of a multi-day rental borrows from the next.
- A full week of long commutes from Sharjah or Ajman — this is the case where a monthly contract with unlimited mileage is the right answer.
- Long-term rental for work — take the monthly rate. Uncapped, and the per-day cost is far lower.
