The Dubai Fountain shows empty large crowds onto the Boulevard at once, and the roads around the mall slow noticeably for twenty minutes afterwards. Leaving just before or well after a show is the difference between five minutes and half an hour.

The Al Safa gate on Sheikh Zayed Road is the one you will meet most from Downtown. Financial Centre Road and Al Wasl Road cover a lot of local journeys — Business Bay, City Walk, Jumeirah — without a toll.
