Which Convertible to Take

Mercedes CLE 300 Cabriolet — AED 749/day

The one you can actually use all week. Four seats, a boot, and a roof that folds — the cheapest way into an open car here. Full details and photos.

Audi R8 Spyder V10 — AED 1,599/day

A naturally aspirated V10 with no roof over it. The engine noise is the reason people book this one rather than the coupe. Full details and photos.

Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet — AED 1,699/day

The most usable of the fast ones: two small rear seats, a real boot, and it is comfortable enough to drive to Abu Dhabi and back. Full details and photos.

McLaren Artura Spider — AED 2,399/day

The hybrid V6 McLaren with the folding hard top. Lighter and easier to live with for a full day than the 750S. Full details and photos.

Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder — AED 2,599/day

The V10 Lamborghini with the roof down. Loud in a way the others are not, which is usually the point. Full details and photos.

Ferrari 296 GTS — AED 2,999/day

The open version of the 296. A hybrid V6 that can run silently out of a hotel forecourt and then not. Full details and photos.

McLaren 750S Spider — AED 2,999/day

The hardest-edged car on this list. Booked for the noise more than for the comfort. Full details and photos.

Ferrari F8 Spider — AED 3,099/day

The V8 Ferrari with the retractable hard top — the one most people picture when they say open-top Ferrari in Dubai. Full details and photos.

When to Drive With the Roof Down

Dubai has a season for this. From roughly November to March the evenings are the reason people rent an open car at all — the coast road past Jumeirah, the Palm, and the run out to Hatta or Jebel Jais at the weekend. Between June and September the roof mostly stays up: the car still works, but the pleasure of it does not, and most summer bookings on these are for photographs and evening drives rather than full days. We will tell you that before you book rather than after.

What It Actually Costs

FAQ

Convertible Rental Dubai — Questions

How much is it to rent a convertible in Dubai?+
From AED 749 a day plus 5% VAT for the Mercedes CLE 300 Cabriolet, up to AED 3,099 for the Ferrari F8 Spider. Comprehensive insurance and 250 km a day are included, and delivery across Dubai is free.
Which convertible should I book?+
If you want it for the whole trip, the Mercedes CLE 300 Cabriolet is the one with four seats and a boot. If you want it for a day and the point is the engine, take the Huracan EVO Spyder or the 750S Spider. The Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet sits between the two and is the most comfortable over distance.
Is a convertible practical in Dubai?+
From about November to March, yes — that is when people actually drive with the roof down here. In summer the roof stays up and the air conditioning does the work, which is why most summer bookings on these cars are for photographs and evenings rather than full days.
What do I need to rent a convertible?+
Minimum age 25 on these cars. Your passport with the entry stamp or visa, your original licence, and a credit card in the driver's own name for the refundable hold. Visitors from the GCC and the countries on the UAE's published list drive on their own licence; everyone else also needs an International Driving Permit.
Is there a deposit?+
No cash deposit. A refundable pre-authorisation of AED 5,000 – 15,000 is held on your credit card and released within 21 days of return, provided there are no fines or damage.
Do you deliver convertibles to Dubai Airport?+
Yes, free, to DXB arrivals at Terminal 1, 2 or 3 or to any Dubai hotel, with no airport surcharge. Send the flight number on WhatsApp and we track the landing.
Can I have a convertible with a driver?+
Yes, on request — see car with driver. Most convertible bookings are self-drive, but shoots and weddings are usually chauffeured.
