Term starts 26 August 2026. If you are flying back from summer — or arriving on a new teaching contract — you need a car from day one, not from whenever the paperwork clears. Monthly rental from AED 1,700, delivered to your building or to the airport gate.
Daily hire for a school year is a mistake
This is the single decision that matters, and it is worth two minutes. A car at AED 90 a day looks cheap. Over a 30-day month it is AED 2,700. The same car on a monthly plan is AED 1,700 — an effective AED 57 a day.
Across a full school year that difference is thousands of dirhams for exactly the same car. If you need transport for longer than about three weeks, book monthly. We will tell you this even if you ask for a daily rate.

If you are arriving in the next few weeks
- Message us before you fly. Tell us your landing date, how many seats you need and roughly how long. We will hold a car rather than leave you hunting for one in the last week of August, which is the busiest week of the year for us.
- Send the flight number. We track the flight, so a delay does not cost you the pickup. Delivery to every DXB terminal is free.
- Bring what you have. Residents need Emirates ID and a UAE licence. If you are new and the Emirates ID has not been issued yet, we can usually work from passport, visa and licence — ask us first rather than assuming it is a problem.
- Start monthly from day one. You can extend month to month for as long as the school year runs, and swap the car if your family situation changes.
Choosing for the school run, honestly
One or two children. A 5-seat crossover such as the MG ZS is easier than a sedan — higher seats, a squarer boot, less bending to get a child into a seat.
Three or more, or you share the run with another family. Take a 7-seater. The Toyota Rush is the cheapest way to keep seven seats available all month; the Mitsubishi Xpander has the more usable third row and the taller boot, which matters when the boot is also carrying bags and sports kit.
Commuting alone. Do not pay for space you will not use. The Suzuki Dzire is the cheapest car in the fleet to run and the easiest to park in a school car park at 7:30am.

The 2026-27 academic year starts on 26 August 2026 for most KHDA-regulated private schools in Dubai. Individual schools have some flexibility, so confirm the exact date with your own school.
Is monthly car rental cheaper than daily in Dubai?
Considerably. A car at AED 90 per day costs AED 2,700 over 30 days; the same car on a monthly plan is AED 1,700, an effective AED 57 per day. If you need a car for more than about three weeks, the monthly plan is always the cheaper way to book it.
Can I rent a car in Dubai before my Emirates ID is ready?
Yes. If you have just arrived on a new visa and the Emirates ID has not been issued, we can usually work from your passport, visa and licence. Message us with your situation before you land and we will confirm exactly what we need.
Can the car be delivered to Dubai airport when we land?
Yes — delivery is free anywhere in Dubai, including all DXB terminals. Send us the flight number and we track it, so a delayed landing does not cost you the car.
Which car is best for the school run?
